A wedding invitation where The City of Brotherly Love meets the City of Love! Titus Print Custom Designs, based outside of Philadelphia, designed these gorgeous wedding invitations for a couple who live in Paris, but married in Philly.  They incorporated well-known landmarks from Paris and Philly, tying both cities together.  We simply love how the invites show the best of both cities-what a novel idea for any long-distance couple or destination wedding.  The color scheme of red/black/white and grey color scheme was designed to work with the double-sided French and English invitation. Further, the invitation was topped with a custom silver embossed liner adorned with the Eiffel Tower. The end result-a wedding invitation truly worthy of a love story.

Inviting Tuesday: Rustic Fall Wooden Wedding Invitation Suite

This week’s featured invitation suite was done by the talented April Lynn Designs and inspired by so many things: the season and the venue!

The couple here were getting married at Ash Mill Farm, just outside of New Hope, Pennsylvania in Bucks County. Ash Mill Farm is home to many farm animals, including sheep, so the designer chose to include them.  We just love touches like this-what a nice homage to the venue!

The colors were obviously inspired by autumn. April Lynn Designs chose to use burgundy and brown along with flannel as a bellyband. The invitation suite also included a custom map of the area which is a nice touch for out-of-towners.

The end result-a gorgeous rustic fall wedding invitation suite!

Top 4 Wedding Invitation Trends in 2017

What are the top wedding invitation trends for Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Delaware weddings in 2017? The bride and groom’s names are the focus this year for wording on the invites.  Watercolor, floral, and gold will be featured in a lot of invites in 2017. It’s all about the names

Obviously, names have always been included on a wedding invite but now they’re taking center stage. More and more invites are focusing mostly on the bride and groom’s names in lieu of intricate art or other accents. Expect to see lots of first names prominently displayed in the center in a flourish script. You could also display both names, initials, or your monogram.

Watercolor

Gone are the days of plain ole white invites. Today’s watercolor invites look so much like a work of art that your guests will want to frame them (or at least display them on their fridge.) These watercolor invitations look like they were hand-drawn, but thanks to today’s printing technology can easily be replicated.  You can do watercolor in any color to match any theme or season.

Floral

Florals are huge right now in wedding invites.  You’ll see them as floral borders or accents adding a burst of color to the stationery. This trend isn’t limited to typical wedding flowers like roses either-you’ll see succulents, cacti, palms, and other greenery in a lot of invites.

Gold

Gold is very trendy for weddings in 2017-and the invites are no exception.  Gold can be an accent like in gold dots, used just in your name to make it stand out, as a border, or in the envelopes. Foil stamping can also add metallic foil to make your invites stand out.
